1. Where should I begin the mailing label selection process with schooldata4postalmailings?
First, you need to decide if you want to mail nationally or just to selected regions of the United States. Nationwide and regional selection options are located on the Order page. Regional selections are defined using U.S. Postal Service ZIP Code ranges (eg. ZIP Region 1 includes 00001-19999 5-digit ZIP ranges; ZIP Region 2 includes 20000-29999; etc). Regional selections available soon!
2. Who should receive my mailing?
If you have had experience and success with past mailings to U.S. Public Schools and District Offices, try to find the schooldata4postalmailings list offering which most closely matches your past list selections. Remember that mailing by JOB TITLE can be an effective approach when seeking to establish brand awareness, product knowledge and initial response. For established customers, consider appending your in-house response file to the mailing.
3. When is it most effective to mail Principals by Name?
Generally, you will receive the highest response rates from Elementary School Principals. However, given the small cost difference, you should usually mail PRINCIPAL by Name at any grade level when this is your target audience.
4. What are Cheshire labels? What are Pressure-Sensitive labels?
Cheshire labels are printed on plain white computer paper four across and require a special machine to affix the label to the mailpiece. Pressure-Sensitive labels are "peel & stick" white labels measuring 3 1/2" x 15/16" and must be affixed to the mail piece by hand. Pressure-Sensitive labels allow you to drop your mail pieces by partial lots in whatever manner you choose.
5. When is the optimum time of year for mailing schools and districts?
Most schools still follow the traditonal 9-month academic schedule. This means you should mail teachers with some regard to the flucuations in their workload and the usual winter and spring holiday periods. School District fiscal years most often run from July to June, so decisions re expenditures cluster in the fall and winter months, while actual funding approvals and appropriations occur with increasing intensity throughout the winter and spring months. The summer months can be an especially good time to reach District personnel since the demands and routines of their jobs also change during this period.
6. I need database-enabled selections which allow me to focus on the most promising segments of the school market. How can I narrow my list profile and demographics for the most cost-effective mailings?
Choosing any list selection except a Nationwide Complete Universe requires you to specify the Geographic Locale (aka Population Density) and/or Institution Size and/or Community Wealth Strata to emphasize in your mailing list. Upon entry to the CCNow payment system, three drop-down menus will offer alternatives as follows:
--Population Density--Most UrbanMost SuburbanMost RuralAny Locale --Size--Largest to Smallest Enrollments (3 or 5 choices)orAny Size --Community Wealth--Most ProsperousSomewhat ProsperousNot ProsperousAny Strata
7. OK, so how do I choose from the Locale, Size, and Wealth criteria?
Districts and schools with the most discretionary budget funds would usually be found by selecting L = Most Suburban ; S = Midrange ; W = Most Prosperous. If you would like to emphasize only one criteria, such as Locale in our example, choose L = Most Suburban ; S = Any Size ; W = Any Strata. Of course, you may also emphasize two selection criteria by choosing the "Any" option in just one of the drop-down menus.
8. Can I choose any Job Title I like to appear on my mailing label?
Yes. Inexperienced school mailers might want to click on this link to view a listing of District and School JOB TITLES to help ensure the most targeted delivery possible.
9. What do I receive by choosing an Elem/Mid/Hi selection?
Elem/Mid/Hi lists provide addresses for all distinct institutions (no duplicates) operating as Regular Public Schools (no Special Education Only nor Adult Education Only schools).
10. Can I order labels by individual states or counties?
At this time, we do not offer such a product. However, mailers can always opt to order one of our low-cost Pressure-Sensitive lists and just mail the states you wish. All labels are printed in ZIP Code sequence, so the labels for any one state are always contiguous. County names can be printed on labels by selecting this as the Site-data Identifier option in the left frame of the order screen.
11. Must I use a credit card to pay for my order?
Yes. Mastercard and VISA branded debit cards are also acceptable.
12. What is your refund policy?
Cheshire and Pressure-Sensitive mailing lists are returnable for a full refund within 30 days if returned complete as shipped. Disk orders are returnable within 30 days for full credit to be used within 6 months from original order date.
13. How long until my order ships after receiving confirmation from CCNow?
Most orders ship within 2 business days. You will always receive e-mail notification from schooldata4postalmailings within one business day re the status of your order and expected ship date.
14. Can my order ship to an address other than my credit card billing address?
